The 'Y I' brand began as an inspirational concept to use creative design to empower individuals. The 'Y' interrogates our true direction and purpose ('Why?'), while the central 'I' honors identity. It acts as an analytical prism for individuals to view their lives through, celebrate their unique capabilities, and explore their common humanity.
Lene Edwards has exemplified leadership across a dynamic career as a gifted student, multi-sport high school captain, and college football competitor who contributed to a Division III National Championship victory. Edwards later attended the USMC Officer Candidate School in Quantico, VA, enlisting in the Marine Corps NCO program. Graduating top of the class with a 99.5% average as Class Commander, Edwards earned multiple meritorious advancements up to the rank of Sergeant (E-5), serving with distinction across Okinawa, Japan and Parris Island, SC.
Following military service, Edwards spent years traversing America's freight routes as a professional long-haul truck driver. This unique path—combining creative art talent with disciplined military operations and a deep connection to America's logistics highways—fueled the vision for the Y I Initiative. The platform is built specifically to address systemic inequalities, combat marginalization, and restore vulnerable communities.
